Our organization collaborates with donors across the United States to promote our mission to support charitable and cultural projects in the United States and India. We work with partners in these places to support the following causes: Senior Care, free of cost Educational endeavors Medical care for underprivileged communities Cultural preservation Literacy projects
As the sacred pillars of cultural communities, places of worship play a vital role in fostering spiritual growth and a righteous life. Beyond their spiritual significance, they serve as hubs for nurturing connections, and imparting knowledge in the arts, language, music, dance, commerce, and drama, thereby preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage.
Cows
Cows hold a place of deep reverence within our Dharmic communities. Beyond providing sustenance, they play a crucial role in supporting local economies and livelihoods. Their contributions to employment and industry uplift lives. By safeguarding cows, we ensure the well-being and prosperity of our communities. We support goshalas in places like Amarkantak, Sulaimani, Gummidipoondi and Thandalam. We also work to protect sick, injured, and handicapped cows, to help them flourish and thrive.

Sanskrit
Sanskrit and our mother tongue anchor our cultural identity, granting us access to the wisdom and practices of our heritage. Ultimately, our way of life centers on the pursuit of sustainable peace and happiness, beginning with the nation and extending to society, community, family, and self—each in its rightful place.

Dharma protects those who protect it!
The Sanskrit word Dharma does not translate well in English. Simplistically, protecting Dharma is adhering to the principles of nature that are prescribed for human beings by the Hindu tradition. That is, Dharmic living, in the recognition that human beings are inseperable from nature and have collective resposibilities! These principles include (but not limited to) adherence to:
- Respect for Parents, Gurus
- Non-violence
- Honesty in thoughts, words and deeds, in all contexts
- Empathy
- Service
- Love
- Peace and Happiness

History and Inspirational Journey
During a visit to India in the summer of 1989, a few of the followers of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam (Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu) were fortunate enough to receive the blessings of His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal. In their meeting with him, they came to know of the growing desire of many Indians living in the U.S and Canada to contribute to the social and charitable causes undertaken by the Peetam. In order to enable these devotees to identify and support these causes, Sri Jayendra Sarswati Swamigal stressed the importance of establishing a non-profit organization in the U.S.
The mission of this organization was to be three fold. First, it would seek to educate the devotees in the U.S. and to spread the word about the various charitable activities operated under the auspices of the Peetam. Second, it would ensure that funds were utilized for the purposes for which they were intended. Third, this organization would serve as a channel through which funds were efficiently and transparently appropriated to only worthy causes. At the outset, a key consideration was the importance of allowing donors to designate the cause or organization of their choice, thus enabling them to see the fruits of their efforts. In the following spring, a group of 5 volunteers decided to create the organization inspired by Sri Swamigal, and the Kanchi Kamakoti Seve Foundation was registered in the State of New York as a not profit corporation on June 7, 1990.
